Sun Diagnostics tests blood, urine and tissue samples. Dr Nikhil Ningurkar (MD Pathology, MBBS) is the pathologist in charge. Work began in 2020. For Wahal, the usual route is home sample collection. Blood is taken at the patient’s address, a urine container is handed over, and the lab receives both. The test list covers DNA-based studies, infection tests, biochemistry and haematology. Holter monitoring is arranged separately. Its recorder, which logs heart rhythm while the patient wears it, is put on at a centre.
Walk-in patients have Taloja, Vashi or Seawoods to choose from. Seawoods houses the main lab. Among the three, Wahal residents usually find it the closest. Look for Plot no. 21 in Sector 48, with Navratna Hotel nearby. It opens at 8 am all week. It closes at 4 pm on Sundays and at 10 pm on the other six days. Every report waits for a pathologist’s reading before it is issued. Bookings arrive three ways: a phone call, the website’s booking form or a message on WhatsApp.

Pathology Services
For standard pathology, nobody in Wahal has to leave the house. Collection is done at home. Analysis is done at the lab.
- Routine blood work: CBC gives the cell counts, lipid profile the cholesterol figures, fasting sugar and HbA1C the glucose picture.
- Infection and thyroid tests: Dengue tests, malaria antigen, a broader fever screen, and thyroid profiles.
- Tissue and cell study: FNAC, cytology and histopathology. A doctor orders them when a specimen must go under the microscope.
A qualified pathologist reviews every Wahal report before issue. Our processes are ISO 9001:2015 certified, and a home sample from Wahal passes through them like any other sample.
Pathology Services
Standard pathology for Wahal starts at the patient’s door. The sample is taken there and analysed at the lab.
Routine blood work:
CBC for blood cells, lipid profile for cholesterol, fasting sugar and HbA1C for glucose control.
Infection and thyroid tests:
Tests for dengue, the malaria antigen test, a fever screen, plus thyroid profiles.
Tissue and cell study:
Cytology, histopathology and FNAC, done on a doctor’s request when cells or tissue need a microscope.

X-Ray and ECG
ECG and X-ray need the machines at Taloja, so neither is offered as a home visit. A Wahal patient books the Taloja appointment through a call or WhatsApp.
X-Ray and ECG
Home visits do not cover X-ray or ECG. Taloja performs both, by appointment. Wahal patients arrange the time by WhatsApp message or by phone.
Preventative Health Packages
A planned check-up may show a change before symptoms appear. Wahal patients choose among three package types, each for one person:
- Full-body check-ups, grouping blood and urine tests that may flag a condition with no symptoms yet.
- Antenatal (ANC) packages that follow the test timetable of a pregnancy, for mothers-to-be in Wahal.
- Focused screening for a single concern, such as thyroid or diabetes.
Preventative Health Packages
